In 'heavily modified' cases where you have fully adjustable suspension, properly adjusted coilovers, and just-below R-Compound tires - You will cavitate your oil pump on long corners on the track due to g-forces with a stock oil pan! Another factor is the power level, so much torque on such a small amount of bearing surface area per cylinder, it's not hard to understand why Greg @ SZ's car has the custom crank with wider journals and custom bearings! A stock, or maybe not so 'grippy' Z with the stock oil pan is probably fine. Thanks for the compliments!
